The
Winter's Tale
As I look out at the frost-covered ground it seems hard to believe that the time has come to start auditions for the Summer ‘Shakespeare in the Park’ production.
This year we are doing The Winter's Tale. This is a late comedy.
There are several female speaking parts, they are all good.
There is a dance at the end where any number of people can be involved if they want!
The dates of the show will be earlier this year to accomodate the FIFA World Football Cup!
The show dates have been finalised
Production dates will be May 26th - 29th
Auditions will be held at The Bewick Suite, Swan Hotel, High Street, Maldon
on February 1st, February 2nd & February 4th
from 7.30pm

Please let me know if you want to audition so I can give you a time and (hopefully) lessen the waiting time for everybody

PROFESSIONAL SHOWS
mac Theatre staged a production for the Maldon Museum based on their 'Ideal Home' Exhibition.
It was called 'Domestic Bliss or the elimination of Drudgery'
Jim and Nellie were clearing out old Mr. Drudgery's house and happened upon many examples of domestic inventions that showed how the world they live in has developed (or not) over the years, from vacuum cleaners to Model T Fords which the two of them reminisced about in words and songs.
It was enjoyed by a small but select audience over two rather drizzly nights in early September.in the courtyard of the Maldon Museum.
This was followed by a very successful Christmas show 'The Holly and the Ivy'
Don't worry if you missed it - we will be performing it again for Christmas 2010!
During the Maldon Arts Festival mac produced 'Shakespeare's Sonnets'
Watch out for 'Shakespeare's Songs' this year!
