 Mission Statement

macYouth Theatre is The Maldon Actors’ Company Youth theatre.
It is a non-profit making organisation.

The aim of macYouth Theatre is to provide Arts events and Drama for the community, by the young people of the community of the District of Maldon.

We aim to increase the awareness and status of young people and the Arts in Maldon and the surrounding area.

We aim to provide professional quality productions for the community of Maldon performed in small or ‘found’ spaces.

We aim to provide a meeting place for like-minded young people to discuss Arts and Drama on a regular basis.

We aim to build a working relationship with The Plume School in Maldon, who have Specialist Arts Status

We aim to offer help and opportunity to young people wishing to pursue a career in Drama.

macYouth Theatre is for 12 -18 year olds, and will consists of sessions based round working towards productions. This will be choosing or devising and rehearsing plays for public performance. macYouth Theatre’s intention is to run the sessions and rehearsals as they would if it were a professional company.

Each session will cost £3.50 per participant

macYouth Theatre will not be working as an agency or a Drama School but are very keen to give all the professional help we can to any young person interested in entering the Acting Profession.
